St. Clair County SPEAK

SPEAK: Substance Prevention through Early Action and Knowledge.

Mission Statement: Striving for a healthier community by working together to prevent youth substance abuse.

St. Clair County agencies and residents met in May, June, and July to look at local data regarding substance use and misuse in our community. This team identified underage drinking, youth marijuana use, youth vaping, and adult opioid use as highest areas of concern. MiPHY data and Community Health Needs Assessment data was used to determine the priority issues. Then, they developed strategies to address these issues and a 5-year strategic plan.
