DTF COMPLETES PERFECT WEEK OF RAIDS

 

(Port Huron)  The St. Clair County Drug Task Force continues to take the fight to the drug dealers in our community.  On Sunday, the DTF completed the week with executions of search warrants on seven straight days.

 

On Saturday, shortly after midnight, members of the DTF concluded an investigation into the sales of crystal methamphetamine with a search of a residence in the 1900 block of Nern Street in Port Huron.  $4000 worth of crystal meth was located and seized inside the home, along with a large amount of cash, phones and drug dealing equipment.  A 38 year old man and 29 year old woman, both from Port Huron were arrested and face charges including possession with intent to deliver crystal methamphetamine and being a habitual offender.

 

At about 2:00 a.m. Saturday, a search warrant was executed by the Drug Task Force in the 3400 block of Manuel Street in Port Huron.  Crystal methamphetamine was seized in that raid, along with a bullet proof vest and firearm ammunition.  A 30 year old woman from Port Huron was arrested at the home.  A young child located in the residence was turned over to a relative.  Child Protective Services has been contacted to investigate.  The woman faces charges including possession with intent to deliver crystal methamphetamine, possession of a bullet proof vest by a felon, possession of ammunition by a felon, child endangerment and being a habitual offender.

 

The week was completed on Sunday evening at about 9:00 in the 800 block of Oak Street.  A 19 year old man from Detroit was arrested following a DTF raid that located drug packaging materials, scales and drug paraphernalia.  Charges on the suspect are pending in that case.

 

“I am proud of the hard work put forth from members of the DTF,” said Sheriff Donnellon.  “They are conducting great investigations to get drugs and drug dealers of the streets of our community.”
