(Port Huron Township)  The St. Clair County Drug Task Force seized a large amount of methamphetamine and prescription pills during a raid Thursday night.


According to Sheriff Mat King, an investigation into the sales of narcotics in the Port Huron area ended with the execution of a search warrant in the 3500 block of Lapeer Road at about 8:00 last night.  Members of the DTF went into the residence, where they located and seized about $36,000 worth of methamphetamine and about $40,000 worth of pills.  Also seized in the raid was cash and a handgun reported lost out of the city of Port Huron.


Two men, both 27 years of age and a 22 year old woman, all residents of the home were arrested and lodged at the St. Clair County Intervention and Detention Center.  They are awaiting arraignment on charges including possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance and maintaining a drug house.
