The Animal Control Division of the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office will endeavor to provide animals a second chance by offering adoption and rescue services. The animal shelter provides a temporary home for stray dogs and cats. Animal Control does not provide veterinary services for the general public, but we do have veterinarians who check the health of the animals available for adoption.
Animal Control is responsible for the handling of all quarantines of animals involved in biting incidents and all county kennel inspections. All other animal law enforcement will be conducted by the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office Road Patrol Division.
