One of the most common types of assistance provided to local communities is the review of amendments to local zoning ordinances. Whether it is a completely new document or just an amendment to existing ordinance language, the Metropolitan Planning Commission works closely with communities to ensure that State of Michigan statutory requirements are fulfilled, and that proposed changes have the highest potential of meeting desired outcomes.
