What types of waste are NOT accepted at Smiths Creek Landfill?

• Batteries, brake linings
• Chemicals, fuel tanks, mufflers, paints
• Poisons or hazardous waste
• Radioactive material
• Auto body shredder wastes, fuels, heavy metals
• Explosives, pesticides
• Liquid waste (moisture content 50% or greater)
• Yard Waste
• Propane Tanks

SOIL HAULER INFORMATION

Haulers with soils that are contaminated may be conditionally accepted based upon laboratory analysis, and environmental review. You may contact a Landfill Attendant at (810) 985-2443 for information on the acceptability of these soils.

• If you are hauling soil that is NOT contaminated you may call the landfill directly for disposal information.
