The Metropolitan Planning Commission can provide you with copies of aerial photographs that cover several decades for any location in the county. These photographs have generally been taken every five years with the most recent photographs taken in 2000. The next photos are scheduled to be taken in 2005.
These photographs are available for viewing during the day at the offices of the Metropolitan Planning Commission Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The Metropolitan Planning Commission offices are located on the second floor of the County Administration Building in downtown Port Huron. Our most recent photos are free to view; however, a fee will be charged for searching and viewing historical photos. Most of these photographs can also be copied for a fee. The scale of some photos can be customized depending on your need and the year of the photo that you are interested in.
If you would like to view a photograph or purchase a copy of a photo, please call us at (810) 989-6950. We ask that you call ahead of time to make sure a staff person will be available to assist you, and that you have an address or detailed description of the site you are interested in when you call. Photos cannot be faxed, they can be mailed, and some can be forwarded electronically, call for details.
