(Port Huron)  The St. Clair County Drug Task Force executed a pair of search warrants late last week, resulting in six arrests.


On January 24th, at about 6:00 p.m., members of the DTF raided a residence in the 1300 block of 8th Street in the city of Port Huron.  During a search of the home, $7000 worth of heroin and $400 worth of crack was seized, along with a small amount of marijuana.  Two 32 year old Port Huron men were arrested, along with a 40 year old woman from Port Huron and a 32 year old man from Detroit.


The four face charges including possession with intent to deliver heroin, possession with intent to deliver crack cocaine, possession of marijuana and being habitual offenders.


This was the second raid at that residence this year.


On January 25th, at about 6:00 p.m., a search warrant was executed in the 3700 block of Military in Port Huron, concluding an investigation into the sales of heroin in the Port Huron area. As the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office Special Response Team entered the residence, one of the suspects was destroying evidence by dumping suspected heroin into the garbage disposal.  Members of the Drug Task Force were able to seize about $600 worth of heroin.  It’s unknown how much was dumped into the garbage disposal.


A 36 year old man from Detroit and a 37 year old Port Huron man were arrested at the residence.  They face charges including possession with intent to deliver heroin, destruction of evidence, maintaining a drug house and habitual offender.


The Sheriff’s Office Road Patrol also assisted during the investigations.
