Information Requests

The Metropolitan Planning Commission maintains a wealth of information in its Department Library and its Map Library. Examples of the type of information that can be obtained includes: road maps, aerial photography, topographic maps, wetland maps, floodplain maps, census material (census of the population as well as retail, commercial, manufacturing, and agricultural census), local community zoning ordinances and plans, and a large collection of planning and natural resource related reference material.

This information can be viewed in our offices during normal business hours (Monday – Friday, 8 am – 4:30 pm). We ask that you do call ahead to ensure that a staff person will be available to assist you. You can contact us at (810) 989-6950.

Some of this information can be ordered by telephone, fax, or by sending an e-mail. A copy of our current product list, prices, and order form can be found on this web site or it can be sent to you. If you are interested in an item or information not listed on the product list, give us a call or send us e-mail. We do have items that can be customized to fit a customer’s needs or, if we don’t carry it we may be able to direct you to an agency that can help.
