With considerable speed and accuracy, and with fluency in legal terminology record and transcribe dictation, hearings or court proceedings and to perform responsible secretarial work in connection with a court or law office.
Compose and type correspondence, records and reports as directed.
Set up office records and file folders.
Type complaints, warrants, declarations, writs, summons, subpoenas, transcripts, affidavits and other legal papers and correspondence.
Schedule hearings, make appointments and perform public contact work.
Review and type petitions for commitments and orders for the appointment of guardians.
Prepare certified records, perform bookkeeping and related office work.
Perform interviews and discuss custody arrangements.
Operate office duplicating equipment.
Perform telephone and other public contact work.
Prepare and maintain files and office supplies.
