GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES
To supervise juvenile offenders while the offenders are subject to the jurisdiction of the Court.
To prepare reports and recommendations to be considered judicially regarding placement, treatment and conditions of probation.
To appear in Court to present testimony on treatment plans, probation violations, pre-trials, adjudications and disposition hearings.
To make home visits, school visits and monitor the behavior of the offender.
To interact with other agencies (i.e. law enforcement, FIA, education) to promote that all community resources are being utilized in effective manner. |
SUPERVISION RECEIVED
Work is performed under the general supervision of the casework supervisor. |

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS
|
AN EMPLOYEE IN THIS CLASSIFICATION, UPON APPOINTMENT, MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
Graduation (4 year degree) from an accredited college/university with a degree in the Social Sciences or Criminal Justice Curriculum.

TYPICAL EXAMPLES OF WORK: (An employee in this classification may be called upon to perform the following tasks which are illustrative and not exhaustive in nature.)
Participate in all phases of the Court procedure (Hearings).
Assemble information from available sources to prepare case summaries for Court proceedings.
Transport juvenile offenders to appointments, hearings and other destinations as required.
Communicate with other professionals to insure that mode of rehabilitation is utilizing all resources.
Maintain contact with juvenile offenders and monitor behavior and compliance with probation rules i.e. collecting restitution and other fees as owed due to Court Order. |
