GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES
Performs a variety of routine clerical, technical aircraft fueling and custodial tasks at the St. Clair County International Airport. |
SUPERVISION RECEIVED
An employee in this classification is subject to the direct supervision of the Airport Manager. |
SUPERVISION EXERCISED
None. |
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS
Proven ability to perform routine clerical tasks.
Proven ability to work well with others.
Ability to operate a personal computer, computer terminal, standard airport electronic equipment, typewriter and/or calculator.
Ability to remain calm under pressure. |
AN EMPLOYEE IN THIS CLASSIFICATION, UPON APPOINTMENT, MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
Possession of a high school diploma or equivalent.
Some clerical experience in an office setting required.
Some experience in the operation of radio communication equipment helpful but not required. |
TYPICAL EXAMPLES OF WORK: (An employee in this classification may be called upon to perform the following tasks which are illustrative and not exhaustive in nature.)
Assist in the preparation and maintenance of records and reports.
Prepare and/or file correspondence, records and/or reports.
Operate a communication radio to both give and receive information.
Operate airport and aviation related equipment.
Provide a variety of clerical support as directed.
Perform custodial work such as, but not limited to: cleaning, snow removal and grass cutting.
Assist in airport tours.
Provide an excellence in customer service to general aviation, the general public, tenants and public officials.
Availability for airport emergencies 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Other related duties as may be assigned. |
