Scabies Mite

WHAT IS SCABIES?

Contagious skin infection caused by a parasitic mite.
Spread by prolonged person-to-person skin contact, including sexual contact.
Treatable with mite-killing skin creams or lotions
Prevention involves:
- Treating the affected person and their contacts.
- Avoiding contact with people with scabies.
