Mission: The St. Clair County Smoke-Free Community Team is dedicated to protecting public and environmental health by working to eliminate smoking-related hazards through prevention, education, and advocacy.

Team achievements include:

  • Provided technical support to the City of Port Huron Parks & Recreation by promoting the tobacco free policy via media, social media and other types of venues in an effort to spread the word of this positive change in St. Clair County.
  • Signs were designed and provided to Port Huron Parks & Rec to support the tobacco free parks & playgrounds.
  • Partnered with Port Huron City Recreation Department to provide a cigarette butt litter pick-up at Lakeside Beach and Playground.
  • Material distribution at several community events.
