We are pleased to announce, that the St. Clair County Animal Shelter office will also be known as the St. Clair County Humane Law Enforcement. This office will better serve the citizens of St. Clair County by affording animals a second chance and adoption to a good home. The animal shelter provides a sanctuary for stray, owned dogs and cats. We do not provide veterinary services for the general public, but we do have veterinarians who check the health of the animals we adopt prior to their adoption.
The Humane Law Enforcement division is responsible for the enforcement of all Animal Laws as well as the investigation of abuse, cruelty and neglect. For a complete detail of the Humane Law Enforcement Office, view the enforcement page.
Dog Law Act 339 of 1919
